Costa Blanca is one of the most splendid places hidden by the Mediterranean coast. Over 210 kilometres long, Costa Blanca offers a numerous variety of activities, from infinite sandy beaches ideal for swimming and water sports, to rocky beaches where diving reveals one of Spain's most impressive marine landscapes.
Furthermore, the many mountains surrounding the area offer a myriad of routes and excursions for the enjoyment of nature and the Mediterranean scenery. Its picturesque coastal villages, countryside with autochthonous vegetation, beaches and permanently warm climate make Costa Blanca a paradise on earth.
Amongst the most popular towns are worth mentioning Denia, Javea, Altea and Moraira, all boasting quality beaches distinguished with the Blue Flag. Sport lovers have a wide range of possibilities for leisure along these regions, such as sports centres, gymnasiums, up to 14 golf courses, diving schools, sailing, water skiing, hiking, rock climbing and mountain biking.
It is also noteworthy that Costa Blanca is very well situated with regards to other important cities along Spain's geography, such as Valencia, located just 45 minutes north of Denia. Valencia is a classic city of immense architectural value and museums in tune with modernity, a reference in Spain for both modernism and cultural diversity. Valencia is home to the brilliant City of Arts and Sciences, a cultural complex which immerses the visitor within both nature and science.
The same distance away southward is the beautiful and monumental city of Alicante which fuses together, as few cities do, its port with its beach. In Alicante, one may enjoy a visit to the Church of Santa Ana, dated from the 14th century, and walk along the palm trees of its wonderful marble esplanade which stretches along the marina.
